Bring new inspiration and freedom to your body and mind with a HAES®-aligned integrative dance, meditative movement, and mindfulness-based somatic movement class. Discover dynamic movements to release innate feelings of joy, power, freedom, and grace. You will experience a renewal of spirit and connection to your soul as your body guides you toward self-expression and aliveness.

Shake Your Soul® is a dynamic dance experience for all ages, abilities, and body types that transforms and heals. Both a health practice and a spiritual practice, it is a way to explore positivity, empowerment, acceptance, and delight in your body. This is a warm, inclusive space where every body is appreciated, celebrated, and welcomed.

Rediscover your instinct to move and dance with soul and passion! Joyful Movement  includes very simple, easy to follow moves influenced by different movement forms set to highly inspirational world music, which calm your nervous system, energize your body and elevate your spirit.

This is a place to remember that your body is yours, and is the seat of pleasure, expression, and sensuality. Rejecting the pressure for our bodies to be valued for how they look, or how they please others, Joyful Movement asks: what does it feel like if your body is just for you, in dancing pleasure, in an environment of radical acceptance?

What does it mean to move with no judgment?

Joyful Movement for Every Body offers a safer space to experience a playful, sensual, free movement experience. It is not a traditional dance class with a set of goals to reach. Rather, it is a judgment-free zone, where every body at every level of movement experience is invited into their own dance. Letting go of your sense of being watched, judged, and critiqued can be a transformative practice.

This is for you if…

  • You feel “out of shape” and are nervous to go to a traditional exercise or dance class.

  • Group classes often bring up insecurity or shame about how your body may be judged.

  • The idea of dancing excites you, but you don’t know how to start.

  • Getting in touch with your sensuality and pleasure through moving sounds compelling.

  • You want to experience joy, play, and delight through dance to delicious music with a fun group of like-minded women.

  • You’d love to let go of thinking about how you look and spend some time feeling your body instead.

What if...

You  could move your body without worrying how it looks?

  •  You could get some healthy activity without it being framed by diet, exercise, or meeting any type of goal?

  •  You could meet a group of women who want to have fun moving without judging each other?

  • You could experience moving in your body fully with unapologetic delight accessing your innate ability to play and experience joy and pleasure?

I have a BA in Psychology, and extensive training and experience as a counselor and as a Re-evaluation counseling teacher. My journey into the body-mind connection has led me to become a Yoga instructor and a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator certified through the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy association.

My journey into Somatics allowed me to infuse my practice with the top trauma healing modalities in the body-psychotherapy world, Somatic Experiencing and Inner Relationship Focusing.

My own personal work involved healing my fraught relationship with my body. In order to learn how to accept my body fully and help others do the same, I trained as an Intuitive Eating counselor. All my offerings are therefore body inclusive and HAES® aligned.

Healing my relationship with my body expanded into healing my relationship with my sexuality and learning how to heal my trauma through pleasure. This work has led me to train with the Somatica® Institute and become a Somatic Sex and Relationship coach and a Somatic Sexologist.
