All I have to do is learn to listen

“There’s a natural order and harmony to this world, which we can discover. But we have to feel it - in our bones, in our hearts. in our minds”

CHOGYAM TRUNGPA.RINPOCHE

When I need to figure something out, I’ll try to find a solution by thinking hard about it.

I think that’s what most of us do. That’s what we’re taught.

I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon somatics.

Maybe it wasn’t quite a “stumbling” after all.

It’s possible that the whole part of me, the part that’s not just my brain, led me to the exact path I needed.

Maybe that's the part that knows how to feel, the part that lives in my bones, in my heart, in my cells and everywhere else. Maybe that’s the part that led me to discover the vast world of knowledge stored in my body.

Now all I have to do is to learn to listen.

Just today I got an important answer to a big question for my life, by simply by sitting and sensing into my body.

I got an answer I would never have thought of just by thinking about it.

And I have to be honest. This wasn’t some small solution I’d been searching for. This is one of those big, nagging questions that can keep us stuck if we don’t know how to feel our way out.

And through somatics, through feeling … I suddenly have a path forward.

All I had to do was slow everything down and listen.
