I did it! [Personal story!]

I’m an SEP now!

I love sharing my accomplishments with you.

After 3 years of studying Somatic Experiencing I finally got certified as an SE practitioner and I’m now adding this to my other healing modalities as a Somatic Therapist.

If you’re not familiar with SE, some say it’s the number one body-psychotherapy method available.

Somatic Experiencing is a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine to help people process and release trauma stored in the body.

It focuses on increasing awareness of physical sensations so you can safely discharge stress and tension.

By tuning into the body's natural healing responses, SE helps individuals regulate their nervous systems, resolve trauma, and develop greater resilience.

It’s often used to address symptoms like anxiety, chronic pain, and post-traumatic stress.

So how is all this related to my current focus as a Somatic Sex and Relationship Coach?

Now I get to support you by using  my trauma healing skills as an intimacy coach. It makes my coaching even more trauma informed and effective.

As a Somatic Sex and Relationship coach my focus is on healing through pleasure. And once you introduce the possibility of pleasure into the mix, things come to the surface.

This includes trauma around sexuality, relationships and early development.

That’s when I can use my trauma healing skills that I acquired through my SE training as well as previous counseling and somatic training to help support my clients. I don’t have to refer them to a trauma specialist.

Now you have the ability to choose whether you want to focus on general healing or on acquiring sex and relationship skills.

No matter what you choose, we don’t just sit and talk. We do things, we experience things, we feel things and we use our relationship to heal.

If you have any questions about this at all, I’d love to answer them. This is a whole new world of healing and therapy - and it’s exciting!
