Shhh!!! Can you hear it?
There is a voice that doesn’t use words.
It’s your body’s voice, maybe your spirit or soul, depending on what your belief systems.. But whether or not you relate to the idea of spirit, there is a voice that’s deeper than verbal or written language.
It’s the voice we started with and probably the voice we’ll end with.
We call it by a few different names: “gut feeling,” the “butterflies in our stomach,” or your “knee jerk reaction.” The body is a world of information that often the conscious brain can’t even begin to recognize.
So if that’s true, how can you learn to listen to that voice? How can you learn to really hear what your body is trying to tell you?
The good news is, there are a few ways …
You can do it through stillness, like meditation, and you can do it through movement that is conscious, tuned in, and non goal-oriented.
And you can do it through working with a licensed Somatic Therapist, one who can help you enter your inner world with safety, kindness, respect, and attunement.
