How to kick a habit

Thinking negatively about our bodies is a habit that was created by repeated exposure to external messages shaped by our culture’s unreal views and values around looks and beauty.

We all came across these messages many times and their effects have been cumulative but it’s probable that there has been a specific moment in time that it got ingrained in our body. Do you remember that moment for you?

You can tell the story of that moment. You can tell it in words AND we can also let our body tell it through movement.

In order for any story to be told honestly and for you to allow yourself to be vulnerable you need to know that somebody is really listening right?

Real listening requires practice. You can learn how to listen to your body in a way that will reveal its hidden truths. You can learn things that you never knew about yourself that way.

The understandings that we reach on a body level are far more lasting than any insight that you gain intellectually.This is how we create real transformation and heal our relationship with our body for the long run.
