My body is my greatest resource to support my clients in their process.

Here’s a sneak peak into my daily practices.

Most mornings, I'm not readily available for clients. I save those precious hours for self-care. That includes gentle movement, somatic awareness, and prayer.

It's my time to connect with myself before I can connect with anyone else.

Throughout the day, I check on my inner states. Sometimes, I can't address everything right away, but I promise to come back to it when I have the time to process. This act of acknowledging and bookmarking helps soothe those activated parts.

Every day, I process my emotions through Somatic Therapy and listening partnerships. These sessions can vary from longer ones to quick "mini" sessions over the phone. It's essential for my well-being and our work together.

I also intentionally leave space between sessions. This allows me to settle into my own body and regulate my nervous system. Being present in my body is a crucial resource as a Somatic Therapist.

Before each session, I set an intention to consistently reconnect with my own body as I sit with my clients. That’s how I can tune in to what's happening with my clients.

I remind myself that my clients have everything they need within them to heal.

In addition, I'm constantly in some form of training. Currently, I'm on the journey to becoming a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I'm also diving into Inner Relationship Focusing. I absolutely love learning, and  incorporating new ideas and tools into our sessions.

What continues to amaze me is how relaxed and grounded I feel after a client session. There's something special about this work that requires me to be fully present in my body, even when we're exploring difficult emotions.

I get to be that calming presence that supports and co-regulates a client’s system.

I’m grateful to all my clients for allowing me to be a part of your healing journey. If you have any questions or want to know more about these practices or about working with me, DM me. Here's to growth and healing together!
