Questions to ask when you feel off

What do you feel in your body?

Where is it in your body?

What qualities does it have?

Does it have a color or a shape?

Where does the sensation begin and end?

Is the sensation moving? How?

Is the sensation spreading? In what direction?

As you keep your attention on the sensation is it changing? How?

What else are you noticing that is present at the same time?

You might be asking yourself, “Why the heck would I ask my body anything?”.

My response: Do you want to get more out of your life? Do you want to spend time suffering or enjoying your life?

If so, this is the way: awareness and embodiment.

It might feel counterintuitive because these questions might increase your discomfort at first. You might feel things you’ve been trying not to feel for years.

But you can’t feel the good stuff unless you allow yourself to feel the uncomfortable stuff, too.

The more you expand your awareness around how you feel in your body, the more access you get to your boundless wisdom.

Your wisdom isn’t just about your brain. Wisdom lives in the body, too.
